The secret of the rythms

A specific characteristic of the method of active heart meditation is the application of rhythms that are played on a Persian hand-drum called Daf. When we play Daf we turn our attention towards the heartbeat, towards the activity of the muscle of the heart.

These rhythms release subtile vibrations. These vibrations produce waves of energy that harmonise the beat of the heart, which leads to an experience of inner peace and energizes every cell of the body.

One of the main elements  behind this heart meditation technique, is the development of the soul through the sound and vibrations of the specific rhythms.

Sufi masters who were poets, such as Rumi, Hafez or Saadi composed their poetries on the wings of these rhythms.
